The Brief
Restaurants of Leeds is a portal site offering the best guide to places to eat in West Yorkshire. As well as a restaurant directory the site features restaurant reviews, chef’s recipes and news on the dining scene in Leeds.
Migrating over from an inflexible and dated CMS, Restaurants of Leeds needed a website developing which gave them flexibility and a boost in search rankings
We are the retained digital agency for Restaurants of Leeds – designing and maintaining the website, and responsible for their digital marketing.
Our Solution
RoL required a bold new website design and development that would allow it to showcase its comprehensive directory of restaurants along with reviews and news content.
The obvious CMS choice for a content site which is both flexible for the user and made for marketing is WordPress.
Before starting the project, we performed a full SEO audit, to uncover issues which prevented it from receiving the Google traffic it deserved.
Following the SEO audit, we designed a vibrant, eye-catching site for RoL. As part of the design process, we created a new logo and developed the iconography and style guide to inform future designs.
The site was provided with a full guide to WordPress CMS to allow RoL to manage and update their own content on the site. Once live, the site was optimised for search engine visibility for certain key terms.

Within just three months of the launch of the new RoL site, web traffic from organic Google search had increased by 204% year on year.
Our development and SEO activity boosted the site’s visibility, ranking it on page one of Google for several major traffic driving keywords.
